Who We Are

Hair Artisans was founded by Rebecca in August of 2011. She partnered with Ryan in 2016 and together they have created a warm and friendly boutique salon with a welcoming neighbourhood feel.

Our goal is to exceed our clients expectations. We have carefully curated all of the professional products and tools we use in the salon with performance, safety and sustainability in mind. We use L’Oreal Professionnel Inoa ammonia-free colour and Redken Shades EQ . We proudly work with Kevin Murphy, a company that goes to great lengths to keep environmental sustainability in mind for both their products and their company. We can also recommend products that are PETA approved, cruelty-free and have no artificial fragrances. Our team of stylists and colourists will help you to keep your hair looking amazing and feeling healthy long after you’ve left the salon.

What is your favorite thing about your career?
Two things I love (and I love so many) the relationships I have built with our salon community over the past 18 years and having an opportunity to help people feel their best!
Favorite type of hair to do and why?
Red heads!!! I love red hair in all its many variations from natural strawberry blondes and warm auburny brunettes to bright flaming copper and red wine reds. There is a great red for just about everyone!
You are on a deserted island with a solar powered record player and you can bring 1 album and 1 meal. What would they be?
Bob Marley Exodus and a vegetarian pizza

Why did you decide to join the Hair Industry?
My part time job in high school was at a hair salon. I loved the atmosphere of working for a small business and especially one that’s sole purpose is to make people feel better about themselves. I always enjoyed going to work and knew that looking forward to work is very uncommon. I felt that I had already found the right environment for me!
What is your favorite thing about your career?
That moment when someone looks in the mirror and their face lights up because you have helped them see their own beauty by achieving their hair goals.
Favorite movie of all time?
Princess Mononoke
